How to Get from Cancún Airport to Puerto Morelos

You have just landed at Cancún International Airport (CUN) and Puerto Morelos is only about 30 minutes south (~30 km). It is one of the closest Riviera Maya towns to the airport — here are your options to get there.

Private transfer (easiest)

A pre-booked private transfer meets you at arrivals and takes you door to door in about 30 minutes. It is the most relaxed option after a long flight, especially with luggage, families or a late arrival. Fixed price, no haggling.

Airport taxi

Authorized taxis wait outside the terminal. Agree the fare before you get in (rates to Puerto Morelos are roughly fixed by zone). Convenient, though usually pricier than a booked transfer.

ADO bus (cheapest)

The reliable ADO buses leave from each terminal. Note that most drop you at the Puerto Morelos highway crossing, a few kilometres from the town and beach, so you will take a short local taxi for the last stretch. Great value if you travel light.

Rental car

If you plan to explore cenotes, Tulum and the reef road on your own schedule, a rental car is worth it. From the airport it is a simple ~30-minute drive south on Highway 307. Villas Kaàn has free parking on site.
